Position Goal: Responsible for general repairs and preventative maintenance of furniture, fixtures and equipment

Position Responsibilities:

• Meets with supervisor each day to discuss special needs, problems and assignments.
• Performs routine and specific repairing and remodeling as directed by supervisor.
• Repairs desks, file cabinets, chairs, furniture and fixtures.  Paint as needed.
• Installs, repairs and cleans floor and wall coverings, changes light bulbs.
• Responds in a timely and efficient manner regarding any emergency assignments and/or tasks.
• Assists other maintenance employees as needed
• Assists in maintaining proper inventory level of various items used frequently in the Clinic.
• Attends meetings as requested.
• Drives Hughston Fleet car as assigned.
• Enhances growth through departmental meetings and outside education programs.
• Respond and provide solutions for maintenance work orders

Experience: Two years of maintenance experience preferably in a health care environment.
Education: High School Diploma or GED; Trade or vocational school diploma preferred.
Special Qualifications: Skill with the use of precision tools, operating and cleaning equipment, repairing equipment, remodeling work areas.  Also requires skill in numerical calculations. Must maintain good driving record.
